Philippine Business Magazine: Volume 10 No. 1 - Photo Essay
10 Years After
The Philippines, then and now
Compiled By The MBC Research Group

Philippine Business published its inaugural issue ten years ago. The economy was looking up – the Philippine stock market was ranked first in growth among markets in Asia the previous year; and economic growth was forecast to double the level achieved in 1993, mainly attributable to more stable power supply. Today, stock market activity is slow and unstable and oil prices are on the rise due to the uncertainties brought about by the impending war between the US and Iraq.

Just how different was it ten years ago? Philippine Business gives you a rundown of numbers to remind you just how far the nation has gone, and how far it still has to go.
